Let's Get Catty...     Gossip, Gossip, Gossip!

Dogged By True Love

In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, Mariah Carey said she “definitely” believes in true love . . .as long it’s with a pet. No wonder she always makes sure “Jack,” her Jack Russell terrier, is with her, sometimes flying him privately or, like in his first appearance in this column, making her chauffer drive him 3000 miles! True love with a man, though? Mariah’s not so sure, having never experienced it herself. Heather Mills may just be a kindred spirit with the songstress. Mills was recently quoted saying, “Men let you down. Dogs don’t,” when asked about her 13-year-old wheaten terrier, “Oliver.”  Could that, dah-lings, be a reference to a certain ex-Beatle

Wagging Down The Aisle!

Even though a baby’s on the way and rumors of a wedding are circulating, Nicole Ritchie hasn’t forgotten her much-loved dogs “Honeychild” and “Foxxy Cleopatra.” In fact, they might be in her wedding party. The bride-to-be was recently spotted purchasing a bridesmaid dress and tuxedo for the pups, leading to much speculation that the pair will be walking down the aisle with her.

Another Pup-arazzi Sighting?

In what may feel like Déjà vu, Katherine Heigl was recently seen at a pet store, hounded by paparazzi. The Grey’s Anatomy star is frequently seen at pet stores, including another paparazzi-followed trip last June. And is it any wonder? She has five dogs to buy for – and that’s only counting her own! She’s even sharing her passion for dogs with others. Back in April, she surprised her Grey’s Anatomy co-star, T.R. Knight with his own furry companion, “Ebony,” a lab-collie mix.

Arf Imitates Life

Adopting a page from his subjects’ lifestyle, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton just might be the latest to collect  trendy canines. The gossip monger to the stars recently adopted a goldendoodle puppy, “Teddy.” The new pooch joins “Coquito,” a 12-year-old Maltese.

That’s R-A-T With a “C”!

Believe it or not, Hollywood’s current “It” pet is none other than the rat! After starring in a summer blockbuster and being seen with the likes of Pink, Angelina Jolie and Paris Hilton, many say rats are shaking off their reputation as vermin and becoming A-listers in their own right. Pathetic! Personally, though, I think it’s just a misunderstanding; “rat” does rhyme with “cat” after all. It’s easy to confuse the two, I’m sure.
